A wooden covered bridge can be found in the village of Radošov near Kyselka, right on the Eger River, close to the long-distance bike trail. This unique historic bridge, featuring a wooden tower structure resting on stone piers—whose history dates back to a charter granted by Emperor Charles IV in 1364—is among the most valuable structures of its kind in Central Europe. The entrance to the bridge—which today serves pedestrians and passenger traffic—is marked by massive portals on both banks of the river. During your brief stop, be sure to step inside the covered bridge deck itself, where you’ll be enveloped by the scent of wood and where the small windows offer a magical view of the Eger River. Other attractions in the immediate vicinity of the bridge include the Heinrich Mattoni Nature Trail, the historic Radošov rectory, and the nearby Bučina observation tower.
