From Cheb, Cycle Route No. 6 will take you along the Eger River to Kynšperk. Here, you can grab a bite to eat at the canoeing campground or in the historic brewery, then continue along the left bank via a covered wooden footbridge to Sokolov. Although the town is famous for coal mining, it also attracts visitors with its local castle and Old Town Square. A great detour is a trip to Lake Michal—a modern natural swimming area with a sandy beach, the longest outdoor water slide in the Czech Republic (190 m), and a triple slide (117 m).

From Sokolov, the bike path continues directly to the foot of the monumental Gothic-Romanesque Loket Castle, which is surrounded by well-preserved walls. From there, it’s just a short distance to your final destination, Karlovy Vary. Along the way, a must-see stop awaits you at the Svatošské Rocks, where you can grab a bite to eat and admire the unique granite rock formation, which, according to legend, represents the petrified wedding procession of Jan Svatoš.

The entire stage has a pleasant, mostly downhill profile with occasional short climbs. The route runs mainly along dedicated bike paths and quiet side roads. Most of the surface is paved; the short unpaved sections are easily rideable for most of the year.
