From Karlovy Vary, take Bike Route No. 6 toward Lázně Kyselka. This town is world-famous as the birthplace of Mattoni mineral water. Today, the town attracts tourists with the carefully restored historic buildings of the spa complex and a modern museum in the Löschner Pavilion, which traces the story of founder Heinrich Mattoni.

From Kyselka, the trail continues along the Eger River through a narrow valley, passing through Vojkovice and Stráž nad Ohří, where the slopes of the Doupov Mountains and the Ore Mountains will tower above you. Gradually, you’ll reach Klášterec nad Ohří. Here, the bike trail leads you directly into the magnificent English-style castle park, where you can visit the beautiful castle with its porcelain exhibition or sample mineral water at the nearby Evženie Spa.

The final stretch of this stage will take you to the royal town of Kadaň. Before entering the town, you’ll be greeted by an impressive view of the Franciscan Monastery. The stage’s destination is the historic city center with Peace Square, the Town Hall Tower, and Executioner’s Alley, which is listed in the Czech Book of Records as the narrowest alley in the Czech Republic.

The third stage is approximately 56 km long and is considered one of the more challenging ones for cyclists due to its more varied terrain with occasional climbs (a total elevation gain of 400 meters for the stage). The route follows a combination of newly built paved or gravel bike paths and quiet third-class roads. A problematic area requiring extra caution is the section between Radošov and Vojkovice, where the route follows a narrower road with occasional car traffic, as well as some unpaved forest sections beyond Stráž nad Ohří, which may be more difficult to ride on after rain.
