The Kyselka Spa is located in a deep, forested valley directly on the right bank of the Eger River, about eleven kilometers downstream from Karlovy Vary. Although the Eger Cycle Trail runs along the opposite left bank, you can easily reach the historic complex by crossing the bridge. This famous resort, made renowned in the nineteenth century by the visionary Heinrich Mattoni, enchants visitors with the unique architecture of the former spa complex, surrounded by a romantic park.

The gateway to the history of this famous mineral water is the completely renovated Löschner Pavilion, which houses the modern, interactive Mattoni Museum with an extensive collection of historic bottles, labels, and original advertisements. Be sure to visit Otto’s Spring, where you can taste the bubbling mineral water for free, or take a walk along the Mattoni Educational Trail, which chronicles the gradual restoration of the entire valley. Other attractions in Kyselka include the pseudo-Gothic Chapel of St. Anne and the nearby Bučina observation tower, which towers over the river.
