Klášterec nad Ohří, a picturesque town situated at the junction of the Ore Mountains and the Doupov Mountains, is renowned above all for its long tradition of porcelain production. The main tourist attraction is the romantic Klášterec nad Ohří Castle, whose interiors house an extensive Porcelain Museum featuring unique exhibits of Czech and Oriental porcelain. Adjacent to the castle is a large English-style park with rare trees and a sala terrena, which is ideal for peaceful strolls. More active visitors can hike up to the ruins of Egerberk or Šumburk Castles, which offer magnificent views of the river valley, or visit the local water park with its many water attractions. You can easily reach Klášterec by bike, as the town lies directly on the main Eger Cycle Route (No. 6), which runs through here on a high-quality asphalt surface.
