The Stradonka Lookout Tower is located above the village of Stradonice, on a site where a Celtic fort once stood 2,500 years ago. Today, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area, both near and far. On a site resembling a plateau, a small yet well-placed wooden observation tower rises at the highest point. The tower’s appearance evokes a Celtic oppidum. After climbing eight rungs of the ladder, you’ll reach a height of 2.5 meters above ground level, at an elevation of 292 meters above sea level. The panoramic view, however, is breathtaking. To the north and northwest, you can see not only the well-known MIlešovka, Lovoš, and Hazmburk—the mountains and hills of the Bohemian Central Mountains—but also the peaks of the Ore Mountains. A diagram inside the tower will help you identify them. For both young and old visitors, the trip is made even more enjoyable by the analemmatic sundial located next to the observation tower.
