Litoměřice is located at the confluence of the Elbe and Eger rivers, on the border between the Bohemian Central Mountains and the Elbe River Basin, in the famous and picturesque wine-growing region of Bohemia.
The Kalich observation tower, built in the 16th century, is well worth a visit in Litoměřice. The tower offers a beautiful view of the historic city center, the confluence of the Elbe and Eger rivers, and the surrounding landscape of the České středohoří mountains. The entrance gate not only to Kalich, but also to other city exhibitions - the Richard Mine, Mácha's Rooms, or guided tours of the city - is the Information Center in the arcade of the Litoměřice Town Hall on Mírové náměstí. You should also visit Dómské náměstí with St. Stephen's Cathedral. The adjacent tower offers an equally enchanting view from a height of 65 meters. From a bird's eye view, you can also see the gardens of the bishop's residence. Other destinations in Litoměřice include the Gothic Twin Towers and Litoměřice Castle with its wine exhibition.
